Account Manager - Calgary

You’re a master of multitasking, who knows how to get things done. You’re an active listener who truly values the input of others, but is not afraid to speak up.

You have the ability to self manage but thrive in an environment of collaborative teamwork. You are looking for a fast paced, dynamic workplace where there is never a dull day.

The Account Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and growth of an assigned client group.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Work with Account Director to develop and execute marketing programs for assigned clients As the primary client contact, lead and foster client relationships at all levels to build loyalty and satisfaction
  • Learn and understand client’s vocabulary, understanding the ins and outs of their business almost better than they do
  • Collaborate on account strategy and manage daily project execution, for multiple projects simultaneously
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of internal agency documents including briefs, copy decks, distribution summaries and quote request forms
  • When applicable, sourcing client product images and coordinating and maintaining current client image library
  • Responsible for project estimating and invoicing processes, recognizing what can impact client budgets and account revenue
  • Cross-team responsibility and communication – liaise with / provide direction to creative, production and interactive teams
  • Participate in concept and creative development briefings and presentations
  • Participate in new business proposals and RFQs when applicable
  • Mentor and contribute to the development of junior account team members
  • Make decisions on a daily basis that ensure both profitability and creative quality
  • Stay up to date on industry trends
  • Collect and share competitive communication and samples


Key Skills & Attributes

  • 3+ years agency or client-side marketing experience with a Bachelors Degree in marketing or related education
  • Confident communicator with a positive approach to teamwork
  • Driven and committed to continuous improvement
  • Experience in providing Interactive Marketing Solutions is an asset
  • Superior time management, organizational, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Professional presentation and public speaking skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines
